Jess Hume-Pantuso (b. 1989, Chicago, Illinois)
A photographer and digital collage artist residing in Corvallis, Oregon.
Education
AA from Tarrant County College in 2013
BFA in Photography from Oregon State University in 2022
Jess' art practice is centered around the experiences of people with marginalized bodies and how they intersect with and relate to the environment. Themes often revisited in her work echo feeling small in a big spaces, the cycles of life, and reconnecting with the world around us. The work is rooted in the residual and ongoing emotional trauma of growing up and existing in a society that consistently seeks to limit bodily autonomy, keeps us under the thumb of capitalism, and undervalues their contributions to society at large.
In addition to her art practice Jess has commercial experience with portraits, landscape and product photography as well as, social media content creation, specifically for the outdoor industry.
She seeks to work with brands & companies who are inclusive of BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S, and Fat communities.
